Machined Aluminum Chassis, Torsion Links, and Race-Proven Rear Axle

The foundation of the RC28F is a newly designed, precision-machined aluminum chassis plate with an aluminum center bulkhead. This construction saves substantial weight while easily accommodating wider 24 mm battery packs and an uncluttered electronics layout. In place of conventional side springs, Team Associated employs innovative torsion-style side links, supplied in three stiffness ratings (Soft, Medium, Hard). They streamline chassis setup considerably and offer a smooth response that standard coil springs cannot replicate.

The threaded aluminum center coil-over shock, paired with side damper tubes, allows precise adjustment of chassis pitch, roll characteristics, and droop. The two-piece rear motor pod enables fast ride height changes via Factory Team carbon fiber shims. A durable gear differential is included as standard equipment, with the axle assembly remaining compatible with many popular aftermarket options.

Modular Formula Front Suspension for Pinpoint Turn-In

Up front, a fixed-arm suspension design is utilized. Optional upper control arms allow caster and camber angles to be precisely configured. The refined front bulkhead design ensures rapid arm changes with repeatable fit and alignment every time. In addition, the new white V2 wheels are included, which can be equipped with optional front wheel flanges to custom-tailor steering feel.

Operating & Assembly Instructions

• Selecting Torsion Links: For circuits with very high traction, the stiffer variant (Hard) is recommended, whereas on slick carpet or standard surfaces, Soft or Medium links will generate increased mechanical side bite.
• Lubricating Side Tubes: Apply a light coating of friction grease or high-viscosity silicone fluid to the side damper tubes to smooth out turn-in response and stabilize chassis roll.
• Checking Chassis Fasteners: Since screws thread directly into the machined aluminum chassis and center bulkhead, tighten fasteners evenly without overtightening, and use a small dab of threadlock sparingly where needed.

Important Note on Scope of Delivery

Electronic components (motor, ESC, steering servo, receiver, battery), pinion gears, paints, and tools are not included in the scope of delivery. The included body shell is supplied unpainted.
